But Judson, a handsome lawyer accustomed to success, is striking out on both fronts: his search is going nowhere, and Heather, who witnessed her own parents' unhappy marriage, has no intention of settling down. Putting her job first has been Heather's way of avoiding heartache. But when Judson unearths his ties to the Harringtons, Heather gets a glimpse of the kind of loving family she's always craved. Great Book
I loved reading this book. I could not put it down and read it in one day. Very interesting storyline; that is based on how interference from ones family can affect other lives and deny a child a chance of knowing their heritage. I was also to read about the Harrington brothers; one of my favorite families. I love that Ms. Forster's characters are engaging and make me feel like I actually know them.

Love Me Tonight
I was so glad that Gwynne decided to write another story about the Harringtons. I loved the previous three and was hoping for a follow up about these amazing men. Judson Phillips was adopted and after both of his adoptive parents died, he decided to try and find out who were his biological parents. His search led him to the Harrington family and the truth about his parents. He is introduced in the process to a beautiful woman by a mutual friend by the name of Heather. She is so wrapped up in her career and the fact that her Mom walked out on her and her dad when she was young for another man that love was not on her agenda. The more she gets to know Judson and meets the Harrington family, she sees that love can be wonderful with the right man. Great story. Thanks Gwynne for writing this wonderful story and the bonus was the update on the Harringtons I hope that this is not the last book that you decide to write about this wonderful family.

WHY?
I just got this book, and usually it takes me about two days to read a book. It is day 5. I have read a number of books by this author and each time I am disappointed.(you think I would learn my lesson) I picked up this book because it featured a full fiqured woman, and a nice seeming man. However, the story is boring and extremely long. They hardly paid any attention to Tara in the beginning of the book, and the kisses that were hot often fizzled into no where. There was typos all over the place. I wish Velma would get a backbone and for the her personality you would think she would not care that she is a bigger woman. Lastly, My theory is if a man don't love and respect his mother, he won't respect you. Just not worth the time, long and boring.

Is this hero abusive
3.5 stars - Having read other reviews and just finished the story Russ does not come across as real romance hero but too arrogant. What man puts a woman down who has issues with her weight? Yes he likes Velma, is attracted to her, wants her sexually but finds her lack of self confidence in this matter a turn off rather than be there to encourage her and help her? Plus from the first he knew his friend was in competition with Velma he should have supported her straight away. No wonder she upped and left him. Ok things work in the end. But in the real world with a man that kissed you and was pushing you away at the same time would not get a girl like Velma.
However glad the heroine was a full figured woman, her lack of self confidence in this regard is no surprise, one can be successful professionally but still lack confidence in other areas of life. Especially in this case where one has a sister - pretty, tall, slim as per society's standard of beauty and one has emotional issues with ones parents. If Russ was more understanding he would have been the perfect hero , glad to see that his character grew and he learned to stop fighting fault with Velma and just enjoy being with her.

Disappointed
When I read the preview of the book and discovered the female lead character was a full-figured woman I bought the book instantly, since I am a full figured woman also. This book was simply unrealistic, boring, and just all around not good.

The morning after
AFTER THE LOVING, the sequel to Once In A Lifetime, continues with
the saga of the Harrington brothers. I immediately thought of the
popular ballad, 'After the Lovin', by Englebert Humperdinck, "So I'll
sing you to sleep after the loving," because the story raises issues
about the aftermath from emotional entanglement versus physical
dalliance.
Russ Harrington, an enigma of sorts even to his brothers, is a
loner who has always been afraid to love. Because of his laconic
nature, his friendly reaction to Velma, the sister of his brother's
wife, is untypical. But even Russ, who capitalizes on lustful
interludes, knows Velma is different. She makes him wonder how
strong his feeling would be, after...
Velma uses her flirtatious nature to best Russ each time she visits
her sister. She is attracted to him, but her plus-sized figure gives
her no false hope; men prefer tall slim women. Russ is attracted
to Velma, all of her, but he hates her lack of self-confidence. What
he doesn't know is that Velma's insecurities run deeper than her full
figure or even men. They stem from the belief that her parents did not
love her or her sister. Russ wonders if he's up for the challenge of
changing Velma's perception of herself, and I wonder if they can
override their insecurities and find what happens the morning after?
AFTER THE LOVING is a wonderful exploration of the lives and loves
of two people overcoming their blind spots. Ms. Forster again displays
her talent for writing a believable storyline and human bcharacters,
especially the children who literally steal the stories.

A Love Match
Craig Jackson has a toothache that has kept him up most of the night and he wants it to end. Kisha Moran is eager to get some work done before she opens her dental office for daily business, but she's greeted by an unexpected patient who happens to be the handsome, Craig Jackson. As she works to treat Craig's pain and he tries to remain relaxed, they both realize there's an attraction between them. Will they be able to resist their attraction or be tempted by love?
Although HOLIDAY KISSES by Gwynne Forster was an enjoyable quick read and the romantic scenes were steamy, there were times when the story was slow paced.

Time Waster
I have never been so bored in my life! The male character (Craig) got on my last nerve. I really thought this was going to be a good read. Don't waste your money or time on this one. I've read many of the author's books in the past and enjoyed them, but I'm totally not pleased with this one. I was so turned-off that I put the book down and didn't finish reading it.

A Sweet Gift
Craig Jackson never imagined that a toothache would land him in the office of sexy dentist Kisha Moran. Craig, not the one to beat around the bush, asked Kisha out. She was everything he wants in a woman...smart, intelligent, and beautiful...if he were looking for a relationship. He is too focused on his career, he doesn't have time to get involved. So why does he find himself wanting and needing to be with Kisha? Kisha is enjoying spending time with Craig, but she notices that he is not very forthcoming with personal information. This causes her to pause because she has already been burned before. Hopefully love can bring these two relationship shy individuals together.
Holiday Kisses is a well written story by Gwynne Forster. It flows continuously without having lagging moments. Forster does a good job with character and plot development. Holiday Kisses is a sweet romantic "gift."

Kisses and Love
Craig Jackson was considered a celebrity TV news anchor in Baltimore while Kisha Moran's dental practice was known around the city for reaching out to the less fortunate, especially the children to provide good dental care. Kisha's giving heart, and Craig's seemingly arrogant attitude did not seem destined to come together in Gwynne Forster's Holiday Kisses.
The attraction between Craig and Kisha was evident, even through the excruciating toothache pain Craig was experiencing when he found himself outside of Kisha's dental practice waiting for her to care for his tooth. Easing Craig's fear of needles, Kisha spent the time needed to care for the tooth and send the handsome TV anchor on his way, but not without thoughts of him lingering behind.
Through a tug-of-war of wills, perception and misperceptions, Craig and Kisha began to date, but it was not long before the very things they found interesting in each other would find a way to bring friction between the two. Will Craig and Kisha share the holiday kisses they both anticipate, or find a reason to go their separate ways?
I found Holiday Kisses to be a quick read, but with so much "back and forth" between the characters, I was more than anxious to see the end of the story. I recommend this book to those who love holiday romances.

I Dont Believe It
I have read some of Gwynne Forster's previous works and didn't like it too much but attributed it to the how long ago they were published. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt and bought this book and again was disappointed. The characters weren't realistic to me. For people that are so young their behavior lends to a much older age. The way that they react to certain situations does not agree with their age. I have found that in a lot of Forster's books you find yourself stopping and saying "Wait, people don't talk like that anymore!" or "Thats not realistic." I am finding myself doing a lot of that and unfortunately that may have caused to stop reading her books.

Not that good
The story itself was good but some of the details didn't ring true. Sheri is in her 20s and Dalton his 30s but they act as if they are in their 50s at least. The music they listen to, the way they talk, just seems much older than they are supposed to be. And, Ms Forster regularly has her female characters tell the male to "Get in me" and the male tells the female to "open up and give me your mouth"? Those phrases make me cringe but I continue to try her novels. Don't know if I will try in the future. She just isn't for me.

Hot!!!
This book was hot and steamy. I love how Gwynne Forster created Sheri and Dalton's relationship. It was chemistry from the beginning and when they hit the sheets you can feel the love. I am suprise that Gwynne wrote such a hot book because she is more conservative with her other books and it takes time to read them. I read this book in a day because I couldn't put it down.I love how she did Destination Love. You will not be disappointed in this book. Great work!!

Do your thing girl
This is another great read from Gwen. Melinda, a 29 year old school teacher and pianist who married Prescott for his want of a companion and for her to get away from her overbearing hell and brimstone preaching father. Their marriage was never consummated because it wasn't that type of marriage and both were totally happy with that arrangement, so therefore, she was still a virgin. After her aging husband passed, in his will he left one stipulation and that was for her to set up a foundation in his name for non-reading children and to marry within one year of his demise. To her surprise, she found out that her husband was a millionaire. Blake, family attorney and executor of the Prescott estate who had admirred Melinda for the five years she was married but never made a move on her and even now after Prescotts death he felt he would be doing a disservice to his friend by approaching his feelings for his widow but fate had stepped in and began to merge Melinda and Blake together for what would be an eternity. A can't put down book. I know you will enjoy this great romance novel.

sorry, but didn't like this one
Melinda's much older husband dies, and the lawyer in charge of his will, is Blake a guy that Melinda has always had a crush on. Blake thinks the only reason that Melinda married her deceased husband was for money. Mark find hisself fallin for Melinda. Melinda is the favorite person for the town to gossip about. My problems with THe scarlet woman is that Melinda just let Blake use her, she kept on sleepin with him even though, He was steady accusing her of being a golddigger. I felt the storyline moved to fast.

Hot Steamy Romance Novel
Gwynne Forster's romance novel, Scarlet Woman is truly a winner. Forster is very descriptive in her writing. From the beginning to the end, this book is filled with some hot love scenes and should have been labeled "read at your own risk" below the title. Layered with high drama and suspense this novel proves to be a good read. Forster also deals with current issues in her book such as Dyslexia. The story takes place in a small town called Ellicott City and revolves around three main characters, Melinda Jones, Prescott Rogers, and Blake Hunter. Melinda is a young and beautiful African American woman who teaches English at the local high school. Prescott Rogers is an elderly self-made inventor who has made a fortune dealing with Film-developing and contact lens and fluid however, he has a secret: he lives his life as a recluse because he is Dyslexic. Blake Hunter, tall and handsome lawyer and executor of Rogers's estate has many personal issues to deal with. Melinda and Rogers enter into a marriage of convenience and live happily together for four-and-a-half years before Rogers dies. During the marriage Melinda and Blake develop deep feelings for each other but do not act upon them. When Rogers dies Melinda is shocked to the core when she learns about the conditions of his will. One requires her to set up a charitable foundation and to remarry within the year or lose her inheritance to the charity of Blake Hunter's choice. Somehow the reader is lead to believe that Rogers had some insight into how Melinda and Blake felt about each other. This is where the story heats up as Blake and Melinda take their feelings to a new level. The drama and suspense will keep you anticipating the next move. The storyline is awesome and not so predictable. I enjoyed reading this fast paced romance novel and plan to read other novels by Forster. Reviewed by Dorothy Cooperwood

Scalet Woman
This is the first book I read by Gwynne Foster. I look forward to reading more of her books. I find this story to be like people I sometime deal with. In saying that they believe what they were before they get to know that person. I am glad that Blake finally listen to his heart and not what other people were saying. But I have to say I thought for awhile Blake was really after the money but I'm glad Love ended up being his real attraction. I love the message Prescott left them giving them his blessing and for pushing them together. God Bless.

I wish there was a "3 1/2 stars" choice for this at times great, sometimes lackluster story
"Just The Man She Needs" by Gwynne Forster has a wonderful premise and starts with a bang. Felicia Parker, flourishing journalist and budding celebrity who writes a social/society column, is less successful in her own social life. It's been about a decade since she's had a relationship with a man and nearly equally as long since she's had a date of interest. So when she needs an escort to a society event, she contacts an escort service. Due to fortunate interventions, Felicia's "escort" is John Ashton Underwood. No professional escort, Ashton fills in as a favor to the business owner and finds himself instantly smitten with Felicia - and she with him.
When they meet again a few days later and Felicia discovers Ashton's true identity, the sparks between them are reignited. However, they have both been severely burned by past romantic entanglements and are reluctant to see what could be.
Following the intricate approach-and-retreat been Felicia and Ashton starts off interesting, but at times gets dragged down by the sideline stories involved corporate corruption and semi-mysteries surrounding work-related dangers for Felicia. However, when the story focuses on Felicia and Ashton and their interactions with their families, which are fully of interesting characters, it is of fine interest.
